Christian women

The trouble with being a Christian woman in Britain is that you are likely to get sneered at and belittled by high profile people at the BBC for not being a scientist, mathematician, astronomer or big-shot business person.

Words like mother and housewife in todayís Britain are clearly unfashionable and, on the BBC at least, are applied only to inferior types.

Consequently, while walking through the streets of London, Iím really not surprised to see so many female Muslims who are clearly descended from white, Christian families. At least, as far as I can see, by becoming Muslims, they are able to be the women they want to be rather than the women the BBC says they should be.
