Turning Nothing into Something

If you ask a scientist what lies beyond the outer reaches of our universe, the scientist will say nothing.

But, if you suggest to that same scientist that ours may not be the only universe in existence he may, with current scientific thinking in mind, be forced to accept such a possibility.

If you then ask the scientist what lies between the outer reaches of our universe and the outer reaches of that other universe, he or she will be forced to say that nothing lies between these two universes except empty space.

So now we have created empty space out of nothing. Out of nothing we have got something.

But what’s to say that that space is completely empty? What about the gravitational pull of our universe and the gravitational pull of that other universe, which may or may not exist?
