Casino

Casinos once paid graft,
So maths could gamblers shaft,
Gamblers being those whose mental state,
Simple sums can't calculate.
But while of graft the recipients,
Lived well on graft's ingredients.
Many on this did frown,
So respectability closed them down.
However, the government did not casinos ban,
So long as them respectable people ran,
And made the government their partner,
So maths could be of tax an earner.
Tax which could politicians buy,
The kind of perks which made them cry,
Perks so sweet and succulent,
They'd live a life quite oppulent.
