Modern Art

Michael Angelo did at the angel marvel,
Who he saw inside the marble,
So he did carve and carve,
And at times himself did starve,
So he could set the angel free,
And it in fact could be.

But being more carefree,
Modern artists something different see,
And in stone for them banknotes reside,
So with excitement, they are themselves beside,
Banknote piles all neatly laid,
Which can into bank accounts be paid.

For modern artists have an urge,
To on nice things splurge,
And the kind of art which cash sets free,
Will nice times guarantee,
And if none can in their work true beauty find,
Arty words can beauty seekers blind.
